Wildfire Specialists Inc. has several job opportunities for hard-working, qualified individuals wanting to work in the Forest Fire Service industry.
Summer employment:
Fire technician: Testing, repair and service of used fire equipment for return to the OMNR system. This is a part time/on call position with the amount of available work being determined by the current fire situation. On the job training is provided.
Spring/Fall employment:
Prescribed burning/slash pile eradication Technician: Candidates willing to apply for slash pile burning jobs will need to have at least a current SP-100 qualification, Emergency first aid, WHMIS, and TDG. This is an exciting and fast paced job that also makes a positive impact on the environment by the control and eradication of excess fuels and unwanted species.
